Plate Heat Exchanger Gaskets

Plate Heat Exchanger GasketsPlate heat exchanger gaskets have come along way from times past allowing plate heat exchangers to have a longer life span, especially between routine maintenance, which contributes to them being the most efficient type of heat exchanger on the market today.

Plate heat exchanger gaskets are responsible for keeping a seal between the movable plates which are pressed together by rods allowing the plates to disperse heat in the manner that best suits the application. These high pressure gaskets are made of materials that deteriorate through time due to the heating and cooling of the synthetics used to make them.

Periodically the heat exchanger will need to be taken down for scheduled maintenance where the Plate heat exchanger gaskets are removed, the surfaces cleaned and new gaskets installed. Cleaning is also another reason why service needs to be performed as well.
