Plate Heat Exchangers

WCR Plate Heat Exchangers, also called plate and frame heat exchangers are products of more then 20 years in the plate heat exchanger refurbishment business. WCR today is the leader in plate heat exchangers services, refurbishment, and parts. It is with that experience, as well as cooperation with various international partners, that led us to the introduction of this remarkable and very competitive product range.

The WCR Plate Heat Exchanger product range has a wide selection of plates suitable for many different applications from sanitary and sterile applications in food and pharmaceutical processes to heavy industrial applications in petrochemical plants and steel mills. WCR stainless or titanium heat exchangers are available in sizes from ½" to 12" ports. Please call us and we will design a heat exchanger to your specifications.

Used Plate Heat Exchangers

WCR keeps a large inventory of used plates and frame parts in a range of different sizes, ranging in port sizes from ½” to 8”.

We offer to size a used plate heat exchanger specifically to your thermal requirement! This will be a custom designed unit using refurbished plates and frame parts with brand new gaskets! The plate heat exchanger will look and work like new but will in most cases cost less than half.

Please submit your specifications to our application engineers to get a heat exchanger design and a quotation.

If you require parts for a specific model and brand, we keep inventory of plates and gaskets for Alfa Laval plate heat exchangers as well as parts for Tranter, APV, ITT and Mueller. We always keep a large inventory of refurbished titanium plates! Check availability with the nearest WCR office.


Refurbishment Services
	From our service centers in Ohio, California, Illinois, and Georgia we offer cleaning, regasketing, dye penetration testing, repressing of deformed plates, plate pack exchange programs, inventory management, frame handling, and onsite assistance. Our Standard turnaround time for cleaning and regasketing of plate heat exchangers is 10 to 12 days. If required, 5-6 days is possible against a rush surcharge. Replacement Parts

WCR's extensive line of manufactured parts offer proven performance at more affordable prices. Gaskets are available in a variety of rubber compounds and plates come in 316 stainless steel, titanium, SMO 254, and Hastelloy C276.

WCR offers plates and gaskets for all makes and models including Alfa Laval, APV, Tranter, Mueller, API, ITT and others.

Brazed Heat Exchangers

WCR brazed plate heat exchangers require less floor space due to the high thermal efficiency of the stainless steel plates as compared to other types of heat exchangers. The plates are brazed together at high temperatures, allowing the heat exchanger to be compact, leak tight, and rugged.

Due to the higher thermal efficiency and lower manufacturing costs, brazed plate heat exchangers are generally more economical than other types of heat exchanges performing the same duties.

Welded Heat Exchangers
	Block Welded Heat Exchangers WCR Block Welded heat exchangers are the latest innovation in welded compact heat exchangers. The WCR Block is designed with accessibility on both sides which allows access for regular servicing. Plate & Shell Heat Exchangers WCR Plate & Shell heat exchangers are designed for cost effective heat transfer performance and low life cycle costs.

Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers

WCR offers a wide range of shell & tube heat exchangers. As a standard product range we offer fixed tube bundles in sizes from 2” to 24” in shell diameter. Straight tube removable tube bundle in sizes from 8” to 20” in shell diameter, and U-tube fixed and removable tube bundles in shell diameter sizes from 3” to 8”.

In addition to the standard product range we are able to offer special custom designed units as large as 6 feet in diameter and 20 feet in length in the quality material you need from carbon steel and stainless steel to titanium.

Plate Coils

WCR Plate coils are cost effective replacements for pipe coils for immersion heating and cooling applications. WCR Plate Coils come in a variety of sized ranging from 24” to 48”. WCR Immersion plates have more turbulent flow on both the service and process sides and increases the efficiency over pipe coil type heat exchangers. WCR Plate Coils are custom manufactured to your needs and can be banked together for applications requiring large heat transfer surface. Stainless steel and Titanium are standard construction materials.
